Every client jointly signs a commitment contract with their life coach. I set the terms of the commitment contract to fit your individual goals & plans.
We do not accept health insurance as a form of payment. Only coaching that is prescribed & supervised by medical doctors like weight loss and smoking cessation coaching qualify for insurance. But those who offer such services aren’t generally classified as life coaches. Some people do report being able to reimburse their life coaching expenses from their health insurance companies. However, these payments were usually made to clinics that are employing life coaches and not to a coach with a private practice such as myself.
Yes. While these two are similar in that both professionals ask our clients deep & thought provoking questions, our focus is different. Counselor tend to be focused on the past and how that is affecting the present. As a coach I will focus on the present & ask future-focused questions, to inspire optimism and unlock the realm of possibilities for my clients to realize their goals & desires.
The chief requirement of coaching for you to show up fully! You will need to be totally open, trusting and honest within the coaching relationship. You need to have the time & commitment to complete the actions that you will set yourself during our sessions. Ultimately your level of commitment will directly influence the speed and extent to which your goals will be realized. To help you with all of this, as your coach I provide boundless motivation, support and encouragement within a confidential and non-judgemental environment.
All 1:1 (in-person or zoom) sessions last approximately 45 minutes. These sessions can range from weekly, to bi-weekly or monthly, whatever suits your life and the speed at which you can take actions to achieve your goals.
In experience every type of individual will come to me for coaching. The only traits these people have in common is the desire to change part of their life so they are happier, and the realization that they will stay focused & get there quicker with the support of a coach.
During each session we will quickly recap the goals that were achieved from the last session. We will then set an agenda to clearly outline what you want to achieve by the end of the session. We then explore topics connected to the agenda & we will unearth reasonable goals & actions items for you to takeaway
One major benefit is having someone that is solely dedicated to you & the achievement of your goals. As a coach, I am non-judgemental, supportive, encouraging and motivating just when you need it. I help keep you focused on where you are and help build a bridge to where you want to be. I also help you find motivation to keep moving forward in the right direction. coaching enables you to get to where you want to be in life, much faster than you could on your own.
This depends on what you want to achieve. Most people come to me with a life changing goal in mind. In order to achieve this we explore the topic in great detail. Then we setup SMART goals to break down often lofty goals into smaller more manageable pieces. For some this may take as little as 6 sessions and for others it will be more. It is a very personal decision based on your individual goal.
For the majority of cases coaching will take place via a private 1:1 zoom video session. Video helps simulate the in-person dynamic & helps us to build rapport. This has proven to be the most convenient way for individuals to fit coaching into their busy lives. Other than the zoom session, you will need a quiet room with no distractions where you can totally focus on the conversation & a pen and paper to write down insights & goals. Face to face coaching is also available, to those in the local area, if they prefer this option.
